Tarte limited-edition wing workers deluxe tarteist eyeliner set

Hello Beauty addicts!

Welcome back to my Blog, Today I wanted to talk about the Tarte Cosmetics Wing Workers Eyeliner set. Let me begin by saying that the Tartiest is my favorite eyeliner, I been using it since it first came out.

What I Love About It:

  • Consistency
  • Vibrancy
  • Longevity

Makeup Artists are always looking for the best in eyeliners and to me this is it!

Ok, what you came for.. This set is super cute!! I love the colors they picked for the set.

Black     Blue    Gold    Burgundy

They are all useful for a makeup artist, and not too wild. My personal favorite is the burgundy...omg this color!!
The consistency and vibrancy is the same and even this small amount will last a while, so I believe for the price at $35 is worth it!

My only complain is that some of the colors came a little watery and the tubes seemed a little empty, but once you squeeze the tube you get the product. Other than that I love these.... and hey maybe my batch was the only that came that way!

Tell me:

Did you buy these?
Which color is your favorite?
Did you like this blog post?

I love to hear from you guys so please don't be shy!

See you all in the next blog!

Zombie Makeup

Everyone love zombie makeup now.... right?? I do!

There's so many different way to make a zombie, and this is one more.. but I'll give you insight in products and how to use them. At the end, I'd love to get your feedback!

To begin, I like to prep my model with contact lens, they always give any zombie look the perfect touch!

Next is all the "scars, bite marks, deteriorating" To create the angry eyebrows I used a foam latex prosthetic that I bought at The Silly Farm . I used Prosaid which is used to glue prosthetic to skin, then I went on to create the scars and deteriorating skin with 3rd degree... a 2 part silicone product that you mold and have ten minutes to play with.  On the neck, that's where she was bitten to become a "zombie" I used oatmeal and latex, I mixed them together to create this look! On the legs I applied latex waited for it to dry and started making holes.

Then I took the most pale color from dinair and airbrushed her whole body.... to give it that dead look you know! LOL!

Next I took my Mehron Bruise wheel and added dead bruised coloring around every wound and cut! I also used black cream to give the illusion of depth.

Next I used my new favorite Mehron tooth fx and used the red and black to give a decaying FX to the teeth!

Isn't she lovely?!?!?!?!

I like doing my blood splatter outside... and with good reasons.. "my boss hate when the whole school looks like a massacre happened lol" I use Mehron Stage Blood to drip in the areas that i wanted, then watered it down and used it for splatter everywhere else!

and Viola!

Half Human Half Reptile Makeup (tutorial at the end)

Halloween is around the corner and that can only mean one thing.... it's makeup time!!

For my first look i decided to recreate this amazing reptile look that i found on Makeupbya20something .

To recreate the look I used several products and I know you all want to know so here is a list of the products I used and ones that you could use:

Contact lenses: I bought mine in a hair store! Sorry! but there are many website where you can find them.

Body Lotion or Vaseline : I used Lancomes Nutrix Royal, but any cream would do!

Face and Body Wax: I used Cinema Secret but you can use any molding wax (they come in some Halloween makeup kits)

Liquid Latex: I used Spirits Halloweens own latex.. but againg you can find it anywhere now.

Makeup sponge: I used a pack from cvs

Face Paint: I used Mehron AQ. you can use any cream makeup and get the same effect. $1 at Walmart

Black and Green Shimmer Eyeshadow: I used Matte Elite but they are discontinued. Any Eye shadow will do.

Castor Seal (optional): Mehron caster seal. I used this to make it easier, but it's not necessary.

Powder: I used Ben Nye Banana powder, but any powder will do.

Foundation:  I used My own brand (Beauty By Shaq Cosmetics Coming soon. ) Any foundation with good coverage will do.

Bruise Wheel: I used Mehron bruise wheel. but you can also use the cream makeup instead.

Blood: I'm Using Thick Blood from Graftobian and Stage Blood from Mehron, you can use Gel blood and
vampire blood and they will do the same.

Fangs: I bought them at walmart

Eyeliner: Ofra Cosmetics (best eyeliner ever) any black eyeliner will do.

The rest is : Lipstick, and eyelashes and you can use your choice.

This look was easy to create and fun and everyone has loved it! I hope you enjoy making it as much as I did! If you do please respond with a picture or tag me on instagram @beautybyshaq .

Vivant Skin Care

OK, so you may know me as a makeup freak! But My makeup would never look as good as it does if I didn't take care of my skin!
Ladies, most women wait until it's too late to start taking care of their skin and then they invest in Botox and other things like it! Don't follow this trend! If you start young, you have a great chance of having great looking skin when you are older!
I'm an Esthetician, I enrolled in school because "I liked to pop pimples" (gross I know! LOL) But when I started really learning I was hooked! and I love to help friends, family and , clients with their skin care issues!

With that said... When I heard that Vivant Skincare was looking for people to try their products, I was like "MEEEEEE!!!!" Unfortunately I wasn't chosen! but later they emailed me and asked me if I would try their cleanser and I said "YES!!!
I'm glad I did! Their Green Tea Antioxidant Cleanser is amazing! Wow what a feeling, It leaves my skin feeling refreshed, energize and so clean! I love that you only need a very small amount of product, it lathers just right and it gets the job done!
I only wish they would have sent me other products to try! (I'm a serum junkie!)

Images courtesy of www.vivantskincare.com

I've been using it for a few days and I can already see my skin brighter and feeling softer! I think I'm officially hooked on this product!

A few facts about this cleanser : Is a universal cleanser with antioxidants, green tea, grape seed and kiwi extracts... yum!! (for my skin of course!)  and it helps to preserve the skins natural acid mantel! It's great for all skin types!

You  really couldn't ask for a better product for the great price!

They sent me the 2oz bottle which retails for $11.00
Their 8oz bottle is just $29.50
and Their 16oz (wow) just $53.50

Check them out, you wont regret you did! And That's my honest opinion!

Miss Mundo Latina Behind the scene makeup

I had the pleasure of being the Lead Makeup Artist for the Miss Mundo Latina Camp 2012

I was able to do this thanks to my job, A chosen group of students and my self were in charge of the makeup and hair.

This was such a great experience all the candidates were so sweet and a great pleasure to work with!

We were expecting cattiness, arguments, attitudes, and rudeness, but instead we were greated with smiling faces, the girls all got along great, they treated each other with love and respect, and were such great models never complained always happy with our work!

The first day I spent it, coming up with the makeup look with the MML group and helping the students, then I was outside with all the Models re-touching and adding anything else that need it to be done!

We even got to cover up tattos

I Got to spend time with the girls and they are all so sweet!

The secound day, we were short handed (one of our students got sick) So I got to step in and actually do 3 models and here they are!
