Body painting ... Naked art!

Makeup is art!

 I love teaching makeup!

One of my favorite subjects is body painting. Body painting day in my class is so much fun, after we spend the whole week practicing, by Friday we already have our final ideas planned and our fabulous and brave models picked out and a great selection of food items and drinks so we can stay hydrated and fed while we paint body paint.. it normally takes us 4 to 5 hours to finish one body, but is so much fun that we don't even notice the time pass.

there are many different ways of body painting, there's airbrushing and water activated paints and alcohol activated paints, and liquid body paints and, so on and, so forth. In my class we use the water activated Mehron body paint and liquid Mehron body paint and we also mix that paint with a mixing medium so that we may use it with our air brush machines.

I got to do a body paint that I've been wanting to do for a really long time... but I also have to teach my class and help my students whenever they need help, so I didn't have as much time as I want it so I didn't get to finish all the detail that I want it to but all in all I really love how it came out. I've seen this picture of a pin up zombie cartoon.. I can't tell you where because I can't find it again, so this is my interpretation of that cartoon. my pin up zombie cartoon girl!

here's the work that my two students got to do...

I love it! they are so creative! I love seeing all the things they come up with. every group of students that I've had always show me new interesting, fun things, and as I teach them they teach me too.

what else can I say but my job is so rewarding!

Here is the work that I did in the class before, I had only an hour so I just did a corset on a model.

and here's the work my students did

every single area I teach on, it's always fun and exciting and there's always so many different interpretations so there's never a dull moment!

so do you body paint? What's your favorite type of paint to use?
If my students are reading... what was your favorite type of paint to use and please post your pictures on the comments, and also if you had more time which body paint would you have like to do?

Thank you again Beauty Addicts for reading and always commenting and staying in touch.

  1. Wow! So they aren't wearing any clothes, just the body paint? I always wondered about that. How exactly does that work?
